To be able to vote during the AGM, you have to be a fully paid-up member of the Owl House. In terms of the Owl House Foundation’s memorandum and articles of association only members are allowed to vote. Any other interested parties are allowed to attend and may speak at the meeting. They will however not be eligible to vote on the issues raised.
An updated register of members will be available on the morning from 09:00. Members can sign in and non-members are asked to fill in their names and contact details in the blank space available.
For administrative reasons the renewal of membership for the new year has already closed. Non-members are welcome to sign up for the next year on the day. Membership fees for the 2017/2018 calendar year is R100.

The new board of directors will also be elected during the AGM. If you know of someone you would wish to nominate as a director, please complete the nomination form by clicking here.
Nominations for new board members must reach the office by 23 November 2017.
Only paid-up members may nominate new directors and only members may be nominated.
Issues to be addressed
There are a number of exciting issues that will be discussed on the day. This includes the fact that the Owl House was recently declared as a national heritage site. An official ceremony to celebrate the event will be held in the near future. Keep an eye out for the latest details!
This year marks the 120th anniversary of Helen Martins’ birthday. As her birthday falls in December, also the Owl House’s busiest time of the year, it was deemed impractical to host a celebration at this time, but a grand event is being planned for 2018.
The newly appointed advisory team will also give some feedback on the work they have done during the year.
